Toy Story 2 : Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue : Plot permainan ini relatif terhadap film Toy Story 2, dan dimulai di rumah Andy ketika Al McWhiggin mencuri Woody dari penjualan halaman keluarga. Buzz Lightyear, Hamm, Rex, Slinky, dan Mr. Potato Head pergi mencari dan menyelamatkan Woody. Setelah meninggalkan rumah Andy, mainan memasuki lingkungan tempat tinggal Andy, kemudian melanjutkan ke Al’s Toy Barn, penthouse tempat Al tinggal dan akhirnya terminal bandara dan landasan di mana film berakhir. Di akhir permainan, Buzz memiliki pertempuran terakhir dengan Stinky Pete (seorang calon) dan dua antek dalam gimnya. Berlawanan dengan film, mengalahkan Stinky Pete adalah akhir dari permainan.
